History - Newton Seed Inc. was founded in 1952 to fulfill a need for high quality tobacco seed in Kentucky and nearby farms in Tennessee.  Since then, Newton Seed Inc. has grown and diversified to become a supplier of high quality seed of most major types of tobacco and distributes them to all tobacco producing states within the United States and many foreign countries.
A large contributing factor to Newton Seed Inc’s growth has been their ability to develop private varieties of tobacco, to overcome many disease problems that affect tobacco while maintaining quality and weight.  Seed for these varieties are only available through Newton Seed Inc.
